How Glutathione Works


WHAT IS THE DOSAGE?

ANTIOXIDANT/ ANTI-AGEING
10 mg/kg/day
Ex. 50kg male
50kg body weight x 10mg = 500 mg/day

SKIN WHITENING (double/increased dose)
20 mg/kg/day
Ex. 50 kg female
50kg body wt x 20mg = 1000mg/ day in 2 divided doses

FREQUENCY OF INTAKE FOR SKIN WHITENING
If you will just take L-Glutathione for a month then don’t start the program because you will just waste it. L-Glutathione must be taken religiously in high dosages for the skin whitening to take effect. Put in mind that L-Glutathione is basically an antioxidant so think of its anti-ageing, anticancer and immune booster benefits. Whitening is considered as a bonus. In the first up until the second month, you will see noticeable improvements like lesser pimples and clearer skin. You can also notice that your skin gradually lightens up for a few months of initial usage. Effects may vary depending on a person’s weight, metabolism and body’s PH level. If a person is acidic (low PH level), supplements/vitamins and minerals will not be fully absorbed. We recommend coral calcium as a solution and for faster results. GLUTATHIONE (GSH) AND SKIN WHITENING

This is the outermost layer of the skin called the epidermis. The primary determinant of variability in human skin color is the melanin and melanocyte is a cell that synthesizes it. L-glutathione, the whitening pill's main component works not exactly in this area but in the metabolism of melanin.

MELANIN METABOLISM

This is the point where the metabolic pathway of melanin begins. As you see in the diagram GSH (reduced glutathione) intervenes the metabolism. There are certain kinds of compounds that inhibits the tyrosinase activity and L-glutathione is one of them.


WHAT IS TYROSINASE?

Tyrosinase (monophenol monooxygenase) is an enzyme that catalyses the oxidation of phenols (such as tyrosine). Tyrosinase is a copper-containing enzyme present in plant, animal and human tissues that catalyzes the production of melanin and other pigments from tyrosine by oxidation, as in the blackening of a peeled or sliced potato exposed to air. When a person has a mutated tyrosinase gene they have albinism, a hereditary disease that one in every 17,000 person has in the United States.

Tyrosinase, The Enzyme Behind The Dark Skin
Tyrosinase is multifunctional, glycosylated, copper-containing oxidase with a molecular weight of approximately 60 to 70 kDa. In mammals, it is exclusively found in melanin cells. It is therefore a good specific marker for these cells. Tyrosinase is synthesized in melanosomal ribosome's found on the rough endoplasmic reticulum. After synthesis, tyrosinase is glycosylated within Golgi, then delivered to melanosomes via coated vesicles.

Tyrosinase is rate-limiting, essential enzyme in the biosynthesis of the skin pigment melanin. As such it catalyzes three different reactions in the biosynthetic pathway of melanin.

The rate limiting steps in melanogenesis are the oxidation of tyrosine and DOPA. The quantity of melanin synthesized is thus proportional to the amount of tyrosinase activity present in the cell.
